Diverse Coalition to Launch Effort to "Save the Buckeye"

Billboard to be unveiled near OSU campus to stop Ohio Buckeye from becoming Michigan Buckeye

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- This Friday, Sept. 12, at 10:30 a.m., a diverse coalition of Buckeye fans, public health advocates, sportsmen, agricultural interests, environmentalists, and members of the OSU community will hold a press conference to launch a campaign to save the Ohio buckeye from migrating north due to global warming. At this event, the campaign will unveil an outdoor billboard next to the Buckeye Hall of Fame and Cafe (1421 Olentangy River Rd.) that reads:
"Michigan Buckeye? Global Warming is Sending Ohio's Buckeye North. SavetheBuckeye.org."

WHERE:
Ohio Statehouse, south lawn, in front of a large Ohio buckeye tree. (Rain location: Ladies Gallery inside the Statehouse)

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY INFORMATION:
Immediately following the press conference, "Save the Buckeye" coalition members will be available for a photo opportunity and press interviews at the billboard location next to the Buckeye Hall of Fame and Cafe at 1421 Olentangy River Road.
